When you access MySQL data with SAS/ACCESS 9.2 Interface to MySQL, column lengths might be different in SAS than what they are in the MySQL database. When this situation occurs, the following error is generated:
ERROR: Execute error: Data too long for column 'variableName' at row 1
This situation occurs when your SAS® 9.2 session uses the Unicode UTF-8 encoding.
