Problem Note 43754: MySQL column lengths might be incorrect in your SAS session when you use SAS/ACCESS® 9.2 Interface to MySQL to access MySQL data
When you access MySQL data with SAS/ACCESS 9.2 Interface to MySQL, column lengths might be different in SAS than what they are in the MySQL database. When this situation occurs, the following error is generated:
ERROR: Execute error: Data too long for column 'variableName' at row 1
This situation occurs when your SAS® 9.2 session uses the Unicode UTF-8 encoding.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
After you install the hot fix, you need to use the LIBNAME option USE_CHAR_COUNT=YES.
